one of the most beloved, skilled and innovative costume designers working today. His career spans over 25 years, encompassing contemporary, fantasy and period costume design. One of Eduardo’s earliest productions was working with legendary Italian Designer Milena Canonero on “Miami Vice”...they would later team up on the Steven Soderbergh’s “Solaris.” Most recently Eduardo completed his most rewarding challenge to date with the ABC series “Once Upon A Time.” Eduardo has received 7 Emmy Nominations and 5 Costume Designers Guild Awards during his prolific career.

Confirmed Speakers

  • Matthew Stein. SVP, Film/TV, Live Nation Productions, was just named "Head of Scripted Film and TV" for the company. Their recent credits include, "A Star Is Born," "The After Party," and the "Untitled David Bowie IMAX Project. Matt is a seasoned exec who will speak about Hollywood's latest love-affair with "music biopics" as well as a host of other development, financing, production, distribution, and marketing topics.

  • Karen Hall. Screenwriter/Producer. Award-Winning Emmy Nominated Showrunner / Producer, (M*A*S*H, The Good Wife, The Glades, etc). Karen was also a finalist during last year's "UK Drama Pitch Competition" who along with MMFM committee member JM "Joe" Garcia, is developing a period drama on the life and times of the notorious Al Capone in Miami, currently titled "Call Me Al." Karen was a well received keynote speaker at Content London last year, co-sponsored by MMFM, and will be back to give her popular writing masterclass as well as to give the delegates an update on her latest project, which aims to film in some of Miami's most historic and iconic locations, including The Biltmore Hotel, Historic Hialeah Park, The Freedom Tower, Olympia Theater, Capone's house on Palm Island, etc...

  • Craig Bernstein. Agent with United Talent Agency (UTA), in addition to his Oscar winning production clients, Craig is a seasoned agent who represents award-winning writers including the Oscar nominated Anthony McCarten whose recent credits include, "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Darkest Hour," and "The Theory of Everything." Craig will speak on the current trend in Hollywood talent representation, packaging, and script development for high-impact films, tv, and digital media.

  • Adrian Wootton.Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission. With Adrian's strategic partnership, MMFM has expanded South Florida's relationship with the British Film Commission and the UK's acclaimed creative industries. Adrian will return to provide a recap on our "UK Pitch Competition" partnership as well as the latest

  • Prashant Shah. Bollywood Hollywood Productions. Legendary Bollywood producer whose film "Dostana" was shot in Miami. Prashant just wrapped production on Wale's biggest production and will be honored by MMFM with a "Golden Orange" Award as well as being named "Chairman Emeritus" of the conference. Prashant will speak on international co-productions, both with Europe and North America, working "outside the system" but still having important relations with Hollywood.

  • Paul Brett. Executive Producer for "The King's Speech," "Wolf Hall," and the "made in Miami" feature "Chef," which filmed extensively in Miami. Paul will speak on film and tv financing, how various incentive, tax breaks, and gap financing models help fuel production in both the US and internationally.

  • Jose Daniel "Jaydee" Freixas. Producer of "Magic City Memoirs" whose feature directorial debut "Vandal" just had a world premiere at MFF. Jaydee is now in LA working on distribution for the film as well as his major project with Paramount and Leonardo Di Caprio's Appian Way production company "The Corporation" to star Benicio del Toro. Jose Daniel will speak about Miami's emerging talent and film scene as well as how Miami can "elevate its game" within the global creative content community.

  • William "Bill Grefe. Legendary Florida indie grindhouse filmmaker of classic Florida made indie films such as "Stanley," "Mako: Jaws of Death," "The Hooked Generation, and "Death Curse of Tartu." Bill will be honored with a special "Golden Orange" Lifetime Achievement Award for his body of work in Florida, as well as his contributions to the industry as a whole. We will conduct a special Tribute for Bill and his family including "A Conversation with Bill Grefe," having both emerging and established filmmakers who have been inspired by Bill's work speak on his behalf (Tarantino is a big fan) and screening one of his classic films in the evening.
