Submission Guidelines and Application Form

Film London, the Miami Media & Film Market (MMFM) and FilMiami will collaborate on a very special “TV Drama Pitch Session” hosted by MMFM 2018.

10 to 15 Producers will be pre-selected by MMFM and FilMiami to Participate in One on One Pitch Meetings with Film London Executives during MMFM 2018.

Based on These Meetings, Film London will Select 4 to 6 “Winners” Who Will Receive Exclusive Access to The 2018 C21 Content London/International Drama Summit from November 26-30, 2018.

  • Exclusive Access Will Include:

  • Air accommodations (up to £500) towards roundtrip London airfare;

  • 4 Nights Hotel accommodations at 5 star Luxury The Langham Hotel;

  • Producers will be briefed on the UK’s High End Tax relief, visit London’s top post; production/VFX/SFX companies, meet likeminded TV production and broadcast; professionals, attend the C21 Content London/International Drama Summit and its creative & funding sessions, attend excellent wider networking opportunities, go on location in London, visit TV studios and attend the C21 Drama Awards;

  • Producers will also be asked to speak on a panel during the Content London conference.

*Note, Finalists selected must be available to attend the entire UK trip hosted by Film London. Should they not, MMFM and FilmMiami can replace producer with any of the “runner ups” at their sole discretion.


Competition Guidelines and Requirements

Producers Need to Submit an Application Package (via email and or mail) detailing their scripted TV Drama Project.

Required Application Package Materials:

  • Main Producer Contact Info;

  • 200 Words or less on how producers would benefit from the experience;

  • Production details including Project / Working Title, Synopsis, Key Bios, Casting; Ideas, Financing Plan, reel links, mood boards);

  • Projects must be Scripted Dramatic Series (No feature films, comedies, Docuseries, Reality Shows);

  • Dramatic limited /Mini-Series, and Telenovela Projects May be Considered;

  • Series Do Not have to be English language to be considered;

  • Projects should contain some type of London / Miami elements (production, post, co-production).

Originality and Permissions; INDEMNITY

  • Projects must be the original work of the applicant(s)/producers. If based upon another person’s life or upon a book or other underlying work, applicant(s) must secure any necessary rights to make such adaptations. However, it is not necessary to submit the adaptation or rights agreements to MMFM Neither MMFM nor its jurists investigates or attests to the authenticity of an applicant’s statement of authorship or rights secured. By entering the competition, you are acknowledging that you have secured all necessary rights.


Additional Information

  • If a submission involves two or more producers as applicants, the award will be for one team member only as selected by the Film London Executives.

Once an entry payment has been received we cannot provide a refund. If a payment is disputed by an entrant for any reason, the entrant may be subject to any transaction fees or similar amounts incurred by MMFM in connection with the dispute.

We strongly suggest that applicants copyright their materials with the U.S. Copyright Office (www.copyright.gov) and/or register their screenplay/teleplay with the Writers Guild of America, East (www.wgaeast.org/script_registration) or Writers Guild of America, West (www.wga.org/registration/index.html). Please consult an attorney regarding any questions about these.

Selected Scripts and Winners

MMFM has no obligation to disclose any of the following information: i) identities of readers or judges; ii) notes, feedback, or information relating to the submitted material; and/or iii) details regarding the submission review or selection process.

Winners will be announced at the MMFM Reception on June 6th at 6pm at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida

Formal Presentation will be made at the Gala on June 7th 2018 at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida

The judges’ decision is final.


  • Submission materials will not be returned under any circumstances.

  • Online submissions will receive a confirmation email.

  • Semi finalists will be contacted by phone around this time.


  • Submissions must be in PDF.

  • Only the TITLE of the should appear on the front cover page. The ’s name, contact information, or any other information that may reveal the identity of the writer(s) must not appear anywhere in the script in order to preserve anonymity in the judging process.


Selection Process / Key Dates:

  • Week of March 12, 2018: Official call for entries along with guidelines, application instructions and key dates.

  • April 23, 2018: Application Deadline

  • May 14, 2018: MMFM and FilMiami will announce the 10 to 15 finalists (Producers will then have 14 days to confirm attendance at MMFM. If they cannot attend, MMFM can replace producer with another candidate prior to MMFM.

  • June 5th, 2018: Finalists to present their projects in one-on-one meetings during MMFM with Film London.

  • June 6th: Winning Producers Announced by Film London Chief Executive Adrian Wootton during MMFM reception / awards ceremony.

  • November 26th to 30th: Winning Producers attend Content London as Guests of Film London.
