MMFM 16
GLOBAL CREATOR PIPELINE
SCRIPT COMPETITION

The Creatives Miami Platform was developed as a response to the growing need to support and connect local talent within an evolving global content ecosystem. Following a comprehensive assessment of shifts in content development, production, and distribution—and their implications for Miami-Dade County’s independent screen sector—it became clear that expansion was not only necessary, but strategic.

The findings are unequivocal: while global content production continues to grow, the physical location of production has become increasingly fluid and driven by incentives, access to financing, and international partnerships.

In response, the Miami Media & Film Market (MMFM) will launch the Global Creator Pipeline—a curated initiative designed to elevate Miami-Dade content creators and position their projects within the international marketplace.

This initiative reflects a deliberate evolution in approach. While MMFM remains committed to supporting local production whenever feasible, it is equally focused on ensuring that Miami-Dade’s creative workforce is competitive, connected, and active within the global content economy.

Strategic Objectives

TThrough this initiative, MMFM seeks to:

● Elevate the global visibility of Miami-Dade content creators
● Establish partnerships between Miami-Dade content creators and those throughout international markets
● Strengthen pathways to co-production and financing
● Support career advancement for local creative talent
● Build a curated pipeline of high-quality projects connected to MMFM
● Generate measurable industry engagement independent of local incentive conditions
